Kindness begets kindness

    

 Hello folks, today I want to share a virtue that I follow in my business.

   “Virtue: The behaviour that shows high moral.”

We all have some virtues in life. But I feel one thing that should be made a virtue by everyone.

The virtue of “KINDNESS”.

 When I meet new people and introduce myself as a business person, I get a reaction that business people are mostly ruthless and selfish, always thinking of their profits.

 And that makes me feel sad and I keep wondering why do people have such misperceptions about business people?

 Is it because businessmen are focused and practical that makes them look ruthless and selfish.

Then I started being more kind to people and when I realised that it worked in not only building strong relationships but also in terms of profitability.


And being an entrepreneur I thought let me do a “Kindness Business”. However, do not get me wrong.

 What I actually mean is that a business person always sees business in everything, and that being Kind is helping earn profits, then why not to be “Genuinely Kind”.

 Let me share you what are the benefits I saw of being kind 

          1. Ensure client/customer loyalty:

Being Genuinely Kind with the clients/custmer  helps in gaining their trust. And trust always comes above money. And when my clients/customers feel my Kindness they reciprocate the same to me. 


This made me give more attention to my clients/customer, listen to them and be empathetic to what they are expecting.


           2. Increases likeability. 

When the trust has been built. People start liking you. And one of  my favourite authors said:

 when your customer/clients like you. They will buy whatever you sell”.


Hence, Kindness gains trust which makes you likeable and that forms a strong between 

me and my clients.


That leads to a long term association. Which gives me a loyal and recurring client.This is about my experience with the clients .



Now what about the team members or employees or associates

        Kindness helped me this way:

 

               Increased Productivity and Performance:

 Being kind and valuing the associates regardless of their background is a very important quality every business person should have.

 

      Productivity and Performance can rise to as much as 80% when the associates/employees feel recognise and accepted”.

 

Hence I feel one should be in a “Kindness Business”, along with products and services.

The 4P’s and 3E’s Concept



Hello friends, let’s learn another amazing concept of business that I learned in one of the training by Rajiv Talreja

This concept is about Strategic growth in the business.  

But before even we talk about the strategy or growth, let's talk about business, as in what are the basic qualities and skills that one needs to have to start a business.

We all know that business is a learnable skill. But to learn this skill, we need to first find out the 4P’s. So what are the 4P’s that I want to tell you?

I am sure you are excited to know them.

The best part is, we already have some of it and we need to learn some.

That means the 4P’s are the combination of qualities and skills.

Qualities that we already have and Skills that we need to learn.

So let us first discuss the that we already have. i.e the qualities

I am sure we all know about it and we all have these two qualities in us.

1. P: Passion

This is a very basic quality we require to do anything in life. Without Passion, any work or skill becomes a burden.

If we are passionate about something, we fall in love with it and hence we love doing it and spending time for it.

Hence Passion is the first quality.

However, only passion would not work. As in Only Passion = Hobby.

2     2. P: Purpose

 This is another thing that is very important to have. One needs to have a strong Purpose to do anything.

If the purpose is clear, half the battle is won.

However, only Purpose = Charity.

This was about the qualities. I am very much sure you all would agree with me that these are the basic qualities we require to do anything in life.

 But like I said Only Passion and Only Purpose would not work. Along with the qualities we also need to learn the skills.

When we think of doing a business, neither we want to do it as a hobby nor as charity.

We all think of doing a business to generate income out of it. And for that, we need to learn some basic skills that are required in every business. And Of course, some specific skills depends upon the business we choose.

But here we will discuss the basic skills that are very important to have to get into the business world. And these are the basic skills that I have learned.

 So let's discuss the remaining P’s which fall under the Skills category

3.       3. P: Profits 

     This is yet another important P that we should think about.

We should study how the profits are made from any business. What are the ways to generate profits? And how much are we expecting per month and eventually per annum?

This is a calculative skill and one should learn it.

4. P: Proficiency

This is the ultimate skill I would want to emphasise upon.

This is nothing but a high degree of expertise.

You got to be the expert in anything that you do.

Be an expert in your own business. This will help you not only in objection handling but also to attract more clients.

 Now once you spend maximum time on building the foundation of the business i.e 4P’s, The 3E’s become a cakewalk. The 3E’s are nothing but the stages in business

Let me now discuss the 3E’

1.  E: Explore New Market

 Make your business scalable. The true Entrepreneur believes in the Expansion of the business.

 2.   E: Explore New Partnership

 Today’s world is more of collaboration than of competition. Every big business today is a collaboration. So be open to partnership.


3. E: Explore New Opportunities.

 Now, this is the ultimate stage where your business is expanded by collaboration. Now you need to find more opportunities to either have more verticals or more products.

We all know that business is done to earn but before that we must first learn.

Hence the Cardinal rule of business is “First Learn then Earn”.

Wishful thought v/s Action Plan


Hello my dear friends, here I am with yet another new concept which I like and follow in my life. So today let’s talk about something that we all love to have. Something we cherish, something that makes us happy. Yes, I am talking about Dreams.



We all have it, we all cherish it and we all are happy to have it. But I am not talking about the dreams that we see while we are asleep. But something that does not let us sleep.

For some, it may be a goal or a target but for me, it’s a Dream. Because this word carries a lot of emotions. And when emotions are attached to something its importance increases multifold.



We all are at point A in life and we all want to go to point B. The point B varies from person to person. But everyone has that point B in life.

Now my question is when all of us have a dream then why do only a few people achieve it and bring it into reality and why does it remain just a wishful thought for the most? 



The answer is “Reality”. People who make it happen is because they check the current state which is Reality I.e point A, work to change it to point B.



And people who keep it just as a wishful thought is because they too check the current state which is Reality(point A), finds it difficult to change it hence remain at point A having point be as a wishful thought.



There is a deep valley between point A to point B. And only courageous actions will form a bridge over it.



Say a person has a salary of 1lac, out of which 50k is his monthly expenses. He saves the remaining 50k to fulfil his dream. His dream is to buy a luxurious car worth Rs. 50lacs in the next 5 years. But saving Rs.50k a month which means 6lacs a year that adds up to 30 lacs in the next 5years.

He finds a deep valley of 20lacs



Here comes a twist, he will either give up on his dreams and keep it as a wishful thought like most of them do. Or take courageous action, work on it forms a bridge and make it happen.



That courageous action is nothing but thinking of a parallel source of income. To start working on something which will give him Rs. 4lacs a year for the next 5 years which will add up to 20lacs.



So my dear friends, dream big, take courageous actions, work on it, form a bridge and fulfil  your dreams. 



I believe in taking that courageous action , forming a bridge between my dream and my reality by having multiple sources of income. What about you?

8th Wonder of the World



Hello friends, I am sure you must be surprised by the title of today’s blog. You must be thinking ,am I mistaken,There are only 7 Wonders in the World.Is it a typo error? No you read it right . I want to talk about the 8th Wonder of the world. Let me share an amazing story with you.

This story is of two friends who stayed in a small town. They were young,dynamic and highly  educated in that town.Everyone would look up to them.They were being respected by everyone. One day a big businessman comes to the town searching for them . He meets these two and asks them to work on one of his projects and he will pay them whatever they ask for. But they should finish the project in 31 days and he will pay them on daily basis.


Both the friends agree to work for the businessman.

When the businessman asks for their charges, the first friend says that he will charge Rs. 1lac per day. The businessman agrees to it.

The first friend now is excited and feels proud that he will earn Rs. 31 lacs in just 31 days. And he will be the richest person in this town.


Now the businessman asks then second friend about his charges.

To this the second friend says that he would charge 1rs. on one day, 2rs. on 2nd day , 4rs. on 3rd , 8rs. on 4th, 16rs. on 5th and so on.

Which means everyday my charges should be double then the previous day .


The first friend laughs at the second friend thinking that his friend is crazy. He will stay poor all his life.

What is he going to earn if he charges penny.


The businessman agrees to it too. And ask them to start working from tomorrow and you will get paid as per your choices. 


Afterwards, when the businessman is gone , the first friend makes fun of the second by saying he is the most foolish person in this town.

When you could earn in lacs why did you ask for penny.

Look at me , I charged 1lac daily and by 31days in will earn 31lacs and that’s a huge amount.


The second friend laughs and say do you know how much I am going to earn?

By 31 days I will earn Rs. 107.37Cr.


Though initial it feels a negligible amount.But  by doubling the amount daily, I can earn far more than you.


This is called as “AWESOME POWER OF DUPLICATION”.



It is said that this concept gives an Exponential Growth.


Hence, first friend who gets paid 1lac daily he ends up having 31lacs which is called as Linear Growth.


And second friend becomes millionaire by Exponential Growth.


Isn’t this awesome concept.

When I heard it the first time I could relate it quite well.

Before starting my entrepreneurial journey, I was doing a job where I had a linear growth.


No matter how much ever I work hard I would have earned money not wealth.


And wealth is something that is measure in time. When I thought of starting my own business I realised I should use this “AWESOME POWER OF DUPLICATION” in my business to have an Exponential growth and over a period of time I will have lot of money and lot of time . Which means I will have Wealth.


We all know world famous scientist Sir Albert Einstein, he has named this concept as 

8th WONDER OF THE WORLD”.

Einstein also said whichever business runs on this concept can never fail. 



There are many businesses who use this concept in their businesses like McDonald’s ,

KFC etc. They had two choices. One was opening one shop and keep doing business all their life in limited area . Earning limited income and having linear growth.

Or they start duplicating their business(shop) in different cities and counties in the world and have unlimited income and Exponential Growth.

They knew the power of duplication and hence they all follow it in their businesses 

They believe in duplicating their business all over the world . And you can see they all spread across the globe. 


But we also have someone like “Amchi Shakha Kuthe Naahi”. Who owns a single shop all their life and earn handful of money like friend one in the story. 


When there is single source and limited reach. The income happens linear.

But when there are multiple sources and global reach, the income happens exponential.


Today’s world is not about Competition but it is about Collaboration. Best example is Ola and Uber . Who collaborated with taxi owners worldwide and started having Exponential Growth.



I had a choice either I should have a linear growth or Exponential growth.

I.e to keep doing a job all my life in someone’s business or have start building my own business.


And hence I chose this “AWESOME POWER OF DUPLICATION”.

Revival Happens after Survival

 

Hello dear friends,welcome to yet another blog.

As we have been learning about different skillsets required for business,I would also want you to start working upon the mindset too.


As we all know that the MINDSET has to be different to be a business person. We cannot work with the same MINDSET as we have in our jobs


So what kind of MINDSET should one carry?


I’m sure you have this question.

I had this question too before you entering into the business world.


I thought just having an urge and willingness is enough to get into a business world. But it wasn’t just that.

Hence I happen to learn a concept which I’m going to share it with you .


REVIVAL CAN ONLY HAPPEN AFTER SURVIVAL”


REVIVAL means change in the condition of something 

SURVIVAL means to survive until the condition changes 


Hence the MINDSET should be of a SURVIVOR 


“Every business has a limited set of challenges”

Only a true survivor can reach the revival stage after facing them all.


I have seen many who start a business very enthusiastically,however they do not reach the finish line and quit . This happens because when they face a challenge in a business, they find it difficult and hence they quit . Reason is MINDSET.


Whereas the fact of the matter is one must face the challenges,learn to survive,find out ways to tackle it and one day a REVIVAL phase will come .




“Business is a roller coaster ride”

It is just not important to have an optimistic mindset during the sunny days in the business, but it is also important to have a strong, confident and optimistic mindset during rainy days . Which is a Survivor Mindset.

Face it till you make it . 


Change comes with a price. So consciously cultivate a SURVIVOR MINDSET.

Your thoughts leads to your feelings, which leads to your actions , which leads to your desired results.




Once you learn to cultivate this mindset, the next step is to protect it .

Learn to protect this MINDSET

Because in jobs where the income is linear, the challenges are minimal 

In business the income is exponential. It shoots up like a rocket ,but before that it has to undergo immense pressure,escape the gravitational force that is pulling it downwards.




Just the same way the challenges are the gravitational force and the pressure which one need to overcome by having a SURVIVOR MINDSET 

Hence once you know how to handle those limited set of challenges,the business will shoot up and the income will happen exponentially.

And that’s the REVIVAL phase.

Certainty Scale



Hello friends, today let’s talk about yet another amazing concept called as “Certainty Scale”


What is Certainty Scale ?

It is the probability of making someone agree to your point or in business terms it is a probability of closing a particular deal.


Certainty Scale is measured between 1 to 10.


Anything less than 5 is called as “Low action threshold “.

Meaning if the actions or efforts taken to close a deal is less that comes under low action threshold.

In other words easy closure with low actions = Low action threshold.

Anything more than 5 is called “High action threshold “.

Meaning if the actions or efforts taken to close a deal is more than that is a high action threshold .


There are two types of Certainties:

1. Emotional Certainty 

2. Logical Certainty.  



Every person buys anything based on the emotions/feelings backed up by logic.


That is there is some emotions/feelings attached to the product and a logic behind that.


As my mentor says :

“Good brands sell products,but Great brands sell emotions/feelings 

Example, “Cadbury “ who sells emotions during Diwali and Rakshabandhan .


Talking about “ Action Threshold “: it means actions taken to close a deal.


It is based on two parameters:


1. WHY

It is not just about what you present but why you present 

i.e why someone should agree to your point or why someone should buy something from you.


2. REASON

With a strong reason you can give clarity to your client 

i.e a person should find a valid reason to buy what you offer.



Let me explain it to you with a real time example happens with me and how I use  the Certainty Scale and calculate the Action threshold.


There is this dear friend of mine named Aniket .

If I have to describe Aniket on two things  ,those would be, number one  “Choosy about a certain clothing brands” and second 

 is “Food Lover”. Aniket loves to taste different dishes to satisfy his taste buds .


To talk about a Certainty Scale of Aniket on these two things .

It would be :


Clothing brands

The Certainty scale is very high .

It is between 8 to 10 

Which means if I try to convince him to buy some other brand, Aniket is a tough nut to crack .

It is very difficult to make him agree that there are some other equally good brands and he must try that out . 


He feels comfortable with the brands that he wears . That means his Emotional Certainty is very high hence I find it difficult to convince him for other brands .


The actions that I need to take is explain him “WHY” he must try other brands with valid “REASON”.


And after taking these actions based on it parameters, if My friend buy clothes of other brands that means I was successful In closing him on this point . 


Where as when it comes to food . 

I can easily convince him to eat at any restaurant I want .

Because his Certainty Scale is very low and I don’t have to take much efforts/actions to buy what I offer.


The same way if I being a customer of Cadbury . And if Cadbury had to measure my Certainty Scale 

My Certainty Scale is less than 5 which is very low . Because whenever there is a festive season like Diwali or Rakshabandhan , I prefer Cadbury . As I can relate to the emotions that they show in their advertisements.


But if someone asks me to buy chocolates of some other brand , my Certainty Scale would be more than 8. 


Likewise, we all can use the Certainty Scale in our business and also our day to day life.



If you are a business person , calculate the Certainty Scale of your clients by using the parameters I have shared and see if you can  close your clients easily that means he is has a less Certainty Scale as there is low action threshold required.


And if you are not a business person,still try to use it to analyse how good you are at cracking any deal.

This is how successful sales happen by doing?


 

A SECRET OF A SUCCESSFUL SELL

   Hi friends here’s yet another blog that actually will reveal a secret for you which I learned from one of my favorite author’s sessions, T Harv Eker.

   In one of our previous blogs, we learned about “MARKETING “ and its importance. How effective marketing will increase the business. We all are a part of one Business only! – Maza Vyapar Click here if you have not read our previous blog on marketing.

I believe MARKETING is one side of a coin, and the other one is “SALES”

Marketing creates awareness.
The revenue happens from SELL.

   I come across many salespeople who are either frustrated, disheartened, or sad as they could not achieve their targets, meaning there were not as good sales as was expected.

So my friends here is the secret to a successful Sales.

Are you ready to know what that is? I’m sure you are.

Here it is,

ELIMINATE THE WORD “SELL” FROM YOUR DICTIONARY

Yes you heard it right

DO NOT USE THE WORD “SELL”

Instead, replace it with the word “HELP”.

Now, what I believe is a businessman always helps the world solve their problems with his products or services and get paid for them.

THEY ARE THE REAL PROBLEM SOLVERS

So instead of selling a product or service let’s think that we are solving their problems by helping them with our products/Services.

   Think about it, when we try to sell something, we always have the pressure that it should be sold. And if it doesn’t happen we get disheartened. And on the other hand, if a buyer buys something from us he feels that he is doing some kind of favor on us. That’s human nature. But have you noticed when you try to help someone solve their problems with something you have, you actually are doing a favor on the buyer

So, whoever needs your help will take it, whoever doesn’t will not. Isn’t that simple?

Isn’t this thought lightens your pressure?

Now, will you feel disheartened if someone does not need your help?
I’m sure the answer is “NO”

Always remember:

“IT’S ABOUT THEM
NOT ABOUT YOU”
This means it’s about their problems and how your products/services help them solve their problems and in return, they pay you for that.

Let me share a story with you!




This reminds me of a story of two Salesmen which one of my mentors shared with me. These two salesmen work in a company which is into footwear. And their job is to sell them. One fine day, their boss asks them to visit a tribal village and analyze if it’s a good market for us.

   As it’s a tribal village, the villagers don’t even know what footwear means. As these two salesmen visit the village and make their own analysis, come back to their boss.

   The boss asks the first Salesman about his analysis. The first salesman says it’s a tribal village where there is no demand for our product(footwear). Also, there is a communication barrier too. How can we sell? Business cannot happen there.

Now the boss asks the second salesman about his analysis.

   The second salesman excitedly says “it’s a huge market, it’s a virgin market with a big big opportunity. And our business will flourish and reach new heights.”

   As the villagers walk barefoot, their legs are wounded, bleeding, and swollen most of the time as they walk through the jungle
And our product will help them come out of this pain.

All we need to do is give them a demo by practically showing how it will solve their problem. And hence we will get paid for it.

So the moral of the story is :
WE HELP PEOPLE
NOT SELL PEOPLE



If you solve a problem for one person, you make money.

If you solve a problem of some people, you make some money.

If you solve a problem of a lot of people, you make a lot of money.

“HELP” is the keyword.

So let’s help maximum people by solving their problems and make maximum money.
