It Takes Money to Make Money

Hello friends, today let us discuss about an old saying that we all have been hearing for ages from our elders. It takes money to make money

We all have been hearing it since our childhood and that is true to an extent.

I being an entrepreneur can relate to it very well.

As you all know that I keep sharing my experiences through my blogs.

My thoughts about this phrase it a little modified based on my experiences.

When I happen to meet people who have been into jobs and are thinking of doing something of their own.

My first question to them is why do they get this thought?

And the answer is quite predictable.

They keep talking about the injustice that is happening with them in their workplace. They are either not satisfied with their designation or they think they are overperforming and getting underpaid.

I always feel one should check two things in their source of income.

Are they working just for getting by in life? 

Or Getting ahead in life?

Meaning is their income is limited to pay their expenses, and the survival happens just hand to mouth or they are making good money out of it which is helping them to create wealth.

I being an entrepreneur as always encouraged him to start something of his own and be an entrepreneur, wherein they can be their own boss and decide their own income.

However, like 97% of people say, that is not my cup of tea.

"It Takes Money to Make money". 

"What if I fail".

"What if someone cheats me".

      "What if I fall prey to some scam".

      "What if I cannot make it".

      Too many What Ifs…

And the most serious reason to not get into a business is:

    "Lack of Money"

Most of them say that they do not have money.

I agree with them that yes It does takes money to make money but not just money it also takes time to make money.

But I often wonder that if people that I meet who ask me such questions have been working for couple of years, may be a decade or two  for big MNCs  yet they lack money.

Is it a problem or an achievement?

And talking about time, they have already invested their  5 odd years to get a degree for the job they are doing right now, also they need to slog for decades to reach at a certain position.

Few of them agree that it is a problem but few defend by saying that we have to climb a corporate ladder which is a hierarchy and it takes time. We cannot make over night money.

Then I remember their List of What If’s .

I am trying to find a logic about how can one invest years of time still find it hard to make adequate money and still choose to stick to it.

If a person really wants to get ahead in life and not just getting by in life should start something of their own.

We live in 21st century, and we have so many options to have multiple source of income and  make money.

We can simply have a parallel source of income wherein we can make money along with our jobs.

There are so many businesses that  needs less investments,

There are so many business that do not need working cost.

But yes there is no business which can make you wealthy over night.

A normal human takes half of his life to have a good house and some savings but it take 6 months of unemployment to loose it all.

So my dear friends, do not just get by in life.

If you agree that having lack of money is a problem and not an achievement.

And you realize that you have been investing your time yet having a hand to mouth income.

It’s time not to be skeptical about business ideas and keep the What If’s aside and have an open mind to grab a good secondary source or parallel source of income in life.

And always remember It does takes Money to make Money but it takes time too.
